Installation
Minimum Requirements
- WordPress 6.0 or later
- PHP version 7.4 or later
- MySQL version 5.6 or later
- WooCommerce 6.2 or later
Setup
Install and activate “WPML Multilingual & Multicurrency for WooCommerce” on your WordPress site. Then, go to WooCommerce → WPML Multilingual & Multicurrency for WooCommerce and enable the multi-currency mode to add more currencies to your store. No. This plugin is tailored for WooCommerce.
Make sure that your theme is not hard-coding any URL. Always use API calls to receive URLs to pages and you’ll be fine.
Some themes and plugins provide their own translations via localization files. WordPress loads these translations automatically.
To change any of these translations, you need to scan the theme or plugin providing these files. Go to WPML → Theme and Plugins Localization, select the theme or plugin providing the checkout page, and scan it.
After scanning, you should have the strings available in WPML → String Translation.

Yes. You can translate the product permalink base, product category base, product tag base and the product attribute base on the Store URLs section.
In this case, you may need to translate the product category base. You can do that on the Store URLs section.
By default, the prices in the secondary currencies are determined using the exchange rates that you fill in when you add or edit a currency. On individual products, however, you can override this and set prices manually for the secondary currencies.
Yes. By default, each currency will be available for all languages, but you can customize this and disable certain currencies on certain languages. You also have the option to display different currencies based on your customers’ locations instead.

Awesome and Robust Multi Language Plugin and Great AI Support

Some people say it’s too difficult to use or too complex but if you follow the detailed instructions, you can’t go wrong. I translated a WooCommerce catalogue with hundreds of products in a few hours using the included AI translator. The catalogue was multilanguage in less then one day.
I did get into a few problems because I could not make the second language product categories appear and opened a support ticket. I briefly described the problem and Maiya, their AI assistant, sent me 3 direct instructions which I followed and fixed the problem. I didn’t even have to chat with a real person.
Awesome ML plugin, awesome super fast support. I totally recommend it. Just have patience and follow their instructions and you should be OK.

5 stars for their support! I have not been long in the WordPress community but talking to support representatives usually comes with a frustration of being helpless. WPML Support and Andrey look closely to the issue and proposed workarounds till they figure out a solution to the issue even if it was not actually their issue to fix. Also they are very organized, providing a sandbox site to re-produce the issue and make various tests. Thank you!
Auto-renewed without warning

WPML charged me an automatic renewal with zero notice. No email warning before the charge, no invoice sent after. I only found out by checking my account myself. The license is not even in use anymore since my site no longer runs WPML. Asked for a refund and got pushback. This kind of silent auto-billing is not acceptable for a paid plugin. Be careful and check your renewal settings if you use this.
