Add your store as a custom connector, approve the connection in wp-admin, and your assistant can read store data and, where you allow it, act for you. Read-only abilities are on by default. Use of Third-Party Services

This plugin connects your store to the StoreAgent.ai service to power the AI chatbot and the AI content tools. A free StoreAgent.ai account is required.

When enabled, the plugin sends the content you select for indexing (for example product titles, descriptions, attributes, prices and reviews) and the messages shoppers type into the chatbot to StoreAgent.ai, which generates the responses and content and returns them to your site.

When you connect an AI client such as Claude or ChatGPT through MCP, that client can read customer personal data from your store, such as names, email addresses, billing and shipping addresses, order totals, order notes, and refund details. Data a client reads leaves your store and is processed by the AI provider behind that client. Add this to your privacy policy before you connect a client.

When you deactivate the plugin, a short “Quick Feedback” form asks why you are leaving. It is sent to StoreAgent.ai only when you choose Submit & Deactivate. Choosing Skip & Deactivate, closing the form with Escape, or clicking outside it sends nothing at all, and nothing is sent before you choose Submit. When you do submit, the form sends the reason you picked, anything you typed in the comment box, your site address, your plan, and version details for the plugin, WordPress and WooCommerce. Your email address is included only if you tick “You can email me about this.”

Can the chatbot handle customer service questions?

Yes, and that is what most stores use it for. It answers product, shipping, policy and order questions from your own content. Anything it can’t resolve is emailed to you as a conversation summary with the customer set as reply-to.

Is this an AI shopping assistant as well as a support chatbot?

Both. Because it knows your catalogue, it helps shoppers compare products, check price and stock and find the right item, and it also answers everyday support questions.

Will the chatbot slow my store down?

No. The front-end assets are lightweight and CDN-served, and the AI runs on StoreAgent.ai rather than on your server.

Is StoreAgent GDPR-compliant?

How is this different from other AI chatbot plugins?

Most AI chatbot plugins are general-purpose: you hand them a sitemap and hope. StoreAgent is built for WooCommerce, so it understands products, variations, live prices, orders and coupons.
