This plugin connects to the official PhonePe payment gateway APIs to process payments, verify transaction statuses, and manage refunds for WooCommerce orders.

It sends the following data to PhonePe:
– Order ID, order amount, WooCommerce customer ID, order key and the return URL when the customer proceeds with checkout
– Order ID when verifying a payment status
– Refund details (refund ID, order ID and amount) when a refund is issued
– The store webhook URL and generated webhook credentials when the webhook is configured

The plugin communicates with the following API endpoints:

PhonePe also sends payment and refund webhooks to your store at ?wc-api=pgppw_webhook. These are only accepted when they are signed with the webhook credentials (SHA username/password or HMAC checksum secret key) configured in both the PhonePe dashboard and the plugin settings.

All data transfers are securely handled over HTTPS. The plugin does not store or retain any personal user data.

1. Do I need a PhonePe business account?

Yes, you must have a PhonePe Merchant Account to use this plugin. Additionally, new users can sign up directly through the plugin.

2. Is this plugin compatible with my WooCommerce version?

Yes, it is compatible with the latest version of WooCommerce.

3. Is the payment secure?

Absolutely. The plugin uses end-to-end encryption and is PCI DSS compliant.

4. Does the plugin support refunds?

Yes. Use the Refund button on the WooCommerce order screen; the refund is sent to PhonePe and its status is added to the order notes.

5. Do I need to set up a webhook?

No. The webhook is created automatically when your PhonePe API credentials are saved. If automatic setup is not possible, an admin notice explains how to create it in the PhonePe Business Dashboard and enter its credentials in the plugin settings.
