Take your media organization to the next level with our professional-grade features:

  • Nested Subfolders — Create a deep hierarchy of folders and subfolders.
  • Folder Colors — Color-code your folders for instant visual recognition.
  • Private Per-User Folders — Let each user manage their own private folder structure.

  • Smart Imports — Import existing folders from CSV, FileBird, or Folders (Premio).
  • Automatic Backups — Peace of mind with daily automated folder structure backups.
  • Workflow Optimization — Remembers your last active folder for faster uploading.
  1. Upload the plugin folder to /wp-content/plugins/, or install via Plugins > Add New.
  2. Activate through the Plugins screen.
  3. Go to Media > Library to see the folder sidebar.
  4. Manage permissions and settings at Mediamatic.

Will it slow down my website?

No. Mediamatic uses its own custom database tables for folder indexing. This completely avoids costly JOIN queries on wp_posts and scales to 100,000+ files with no performance impact.

Can I export folders?

Yes. Go to Mediamatic > Export to export your existing folders structure.

Does it work with Elementor’s media picker?

Yes. The folder panel appears inside Elementor’s media modal.

What happens if I deactivate the plugin?

Your media files are untouched. Folder assignments are stored separately and can be re-activated at any time.

Not a Gallery, does what it says

By jave.web on February 10, 2021

Although the plugin does pretty much exactly what it says (it’s basically just for ORGANIZING and FILTERING media). Even though not written directly, I was indirectly (the stuff implied between the lines) advertised there would be a simple gallery insertion by inserting something like the folder shortcode which there is not. That is why I’m not giving full 5, because I believe the very purpose of such plugin is to be able to put it somewhere in the end. I was able to program it – the plugin is very readable and lightly written, but I can’t show you how, because moderators here are funky sometimes 🙂

This looks like a decent plugin, though I haven’t tried it. I’m only reaching out here, so I can ask developer to STOP SENDING SPAM via contact forms. Thanks 🙂

Great!!

I have several thousand images in my library. Mediamagic implements a hierarchical file structure that greatly simplifies the task of finding a given image. On thing I particularly like is that images is assigned category names identical to the names of files where they reside.

Nice concept, but not completely reliable

By Martin Sauter (martin.sauter) on February 5, 2020

There are several plug-ins whith a similar approach, but so far I like this one best. It’s a simple, clean way to organize your media library. On the other hand, there are some glitches: If you upload multiple files at once, sometimes not all of them appear in the media library. And the counters (number of files per folder) are far off sometimes.
